SUSTAINABILITY
Statement jewelry means a commitment to sustainable raw materials. The purchase of the material is transparently traceable through clear proofs of origin. Find here the link to my partners I work with for the local manufacturing of my jewelry →
CRAFT
Born in the 1980s in Jena, a town nestled in the heart of Eastern Germany, my journey began with a special perspective on the world. It was a typical childhood and youth during the years of big political change and transformation “der Wendejahre”. In the late 1990s I relocated to southern Germany, settling close to the swiss border, the next significant shift.
It was challenging but a needed experierience to go out of the traditional patterns of my education in Switzerland and the degree as a state-certified goldsmith in Pforzheim. My home and artistic freedom I found in Berlin, connecting the knowledge with the free creative spirit. Craft is the foundation, but only one piece of the puzzle. Finding a poetry is what it is about for me.
IDEAS
Contrasts, a recurring theme, have become an integral part of my artistic expression. These manifest themselves in the jewelry collections I designed, reflecting personal experiences and observations of life and the things around me. The collections are created in my Berlin workshop with the utmost care and attention to details. Metal is the perfect material for me - developing - designing - creating - the process allows almost every form of expression with seemingly endless possibilities based on a profound understanding. It is intensive work to the techniques and a lot of work to make a piece of jewelry by hand. I work very classically with the material, concentrating above all on the form. Therein lies the strength to create timelessness and originality.
…and POETRY
The first collection CORNERS focuses on past moments and symbolically refers to the rough edges of life. These represent challenges are unavoidable and help us to recognize the essentials. The second and current collection, CIRCLES continues this concept. The focus here is on the CIRCLE. The aim is to exploit all the potential of this shape and create harmony through variations of circles. The impetus for CIRCLES was to concentrate on the pure essentials of the form.
MINIMALISM
The artistic character of the collections blurs the boun. It is a kind of melange of minimalist and very comfortable pieces that may be a daily companion in life. In contrast, there are unique pieces for special occasions that follow the free hand of the author.
I also gladly accept individual commissions. The joint brainstorming up to the finished piece is a very inspiring process and a guarantee for satisfaction on all sides. Jewelry is very unique and belongs to a person for a long time, so it should fit the person completely.
