Sustainability and Origin:
The silver used comes in part from the Peruvian mining cooperative SOTRAMI, which is committed to responsible artisanal and small-scale mining. Although the silver itself is not Fairtrade-certified, it is extracted under the same high standards as certified gold.
The SOTRAMI cooperative was the first mine to produce Fairtrade-certified gold in 2011 and has since set benchmarks for sustainable and socially responsible mining.
