Sustainability and Origin
The materials used are ethically sourced silver from artisanal mining. This supports fair wages and safe working conditions for small-scale miners and promotes community initiatives. Responsible small-scale mining relies on sustainable practices and minimizes environmental impact by, for example, avoiding the use of heavy metals and toxins.
The silver used comes, among other sources, from the Peruvian mining cooperative SOTRAMI, which is committed to responsible small-scale mining. Although the silver itself is not Fairtrade-certified, it is mined to the same high standards as certified gold.
