Sustainability and Origin
The silver used comes, among other sources, from the Peruvian mining cooperative SOTRAMI, which is committed to responsible small-scale mining. Although the silver itself is not Fairtrade-certified, it is mined to the same high standards as certified gold.
In 2011, the SOTRAMI cooperative was the first mine to produce Fairtrade-certified gold, and has since set the standard for sustainable and socially responsible mining.
